This entire series is awesome but **wow** Darren and Linc are incredible together. Lyle and Truman - sweet. Evan and Dawson - swoony. Darren and Linc- steamy. I loved everything about this story and couldn't stop reading once I started. These two men are perfect for each other.I'll admit that I actively avoid the "sister's ex-boyfriend" trope but I had to read this after loving the first two books (novella "Two Truths and A Lyle", book one "Never Have I Evan") and thank you DJ because this was done so well! The ex-boyfriend bit was brought up often but not in a gross or sleezy way- Darren and Abby weren't physical together and the relationship was in high school so it was much easier to stomach than I anticipated. The conflict circling around the trope was well done and focused more on perception than the actual relationship(s).Did I mention this book is HOT? Trembling limbs, quivering stomachs, gasping breaths.... Yes, please. More, please! Darren often considers his attraction to Linc as "fire" and it's certainly true. These two are hot together and the passion is delicious. I lived for every kiss and teasing word between Linc and Dare. And how did all this burning hot lust make the romance even sweeter? Darren decides to "woo" Linc and I feel like this book hit every damn mark on my list. Dirty talk, steamy scenes, tender moments... just levels and layers of intimacy I didn't expect. A balance of sweet and spicy perfection that leaves you wanting more but at the same time absolutely satisfied. Amazing!
